Not If But When – Effectively Countering Cybersecurity Threats
The Internet has unquestionably changed the paradigm of business from one person shops to Fortune 10 global behemoths, providing exceptional means to disrupt competition via reduced costs, expanded markets, accelerated timeliness and an overall leveraging of capabilities. Yet the flip-side to this concentration of opportunities, when one’s status as a target is magnified as firms from Equifax and Target on down have learned, is to be on the receiving end of a cyber-attack.
This month will feature an expert who has guided many clients through the steps for managing such threats, from immediate crisis response to longer term risk management to minimize potential catastrophes. While conversant with the technical details of the involved information systems, discussion will be geared to decision makers and the choices needed to implement practical policies in context.
